For almost the integrity of this year I have been exploring a new hobby, 3d printing. My job with them is to maintenance, upgrade, and manage the schools 3d printers. This might seem small but these machines are still a repetitively new invention. They constantly have large technology changes and they are very fastening. Recently I had started to teach 3 grade 10 how to use and maintenance the 3d printers.

This was the Nerf Fortnite scar that my group made for the Santa inc project. We were tasked with the challenge of designing, wiring and coding an electronic toy that would be tested with actual kids. The outcome for our Nerf Fortnite scar was extremely positive with boys when we tested it but most of the girls did not care whatsoever. And now Nerf has announced an offical Nerf Fortnite scar which shows that on the first try we were able to make a combination that even companys were willing to make.

This robot was built for the vex challenge "Nothing But Net" but with a twist, we were not allowed to use the vex metal. This project was very stressful for many groups, but Braden and I were very confident because of our method of building by combining 3D printed parts with aluminum bars. In the end I belive ours was not just the best build but also probally the coolest, the main problem with it though was the fact that the flywheels were to fast and most of the time shot over the net.

The project following the robotic arm was the test bed (see picture). One of the things that made this project different from the others is that everyone was forced to use the sensors and learn to code them. Another part that added a twist to this is that almost everyone was working with someone that they are not used to working with. For me and my group member Braden it went rather well with our test bed bringing part of our robotic arm back to life.

In the below picture is the robotic variant of the arm which did very well at its job until we ran into some problems with the VEX that no one could help us fix. We were all very disappointed that it did not work and we all wish that the arm worked.
This is our group hard at work at my house trying to get ahead on the project.

Me and Ramon working with the new Grade 10's while trying to make the tallest tower out of provided materials. We were able to hole the record of the tallest tower for a good while but then we were overtaken by several other groups. I believe that some groups had a much better chance than others because of the provided materials varying group to group.
